Gallery to Display ‘Foreign Film Posters as Art Exhibit’
Barnegat, NJ —
Dramatic visual examples of foreign film posters will be on display
at Unshredded Nostalgia in the heart of historic Barnegat this
winter. Beginning Saturday, Feb. 26, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., through
Apr. 15, shop owner Jim Episale is inviting the community to learn
more about foreign film posters as art forms at the free exhibition.
"We will be featuring posters from "Doctor Zhivago," "Uncle
Tom's Cabin," Alfred Hitchcock's "Suspicion" and Clint Eastwood's
"For a Few Dollars More" as well as many others, including a group
of 35 Contemporary Polish Movie Posters," Episale said.
Unshredded Nostalgia
will unveil "Foreign Film Posters as Art" as the latest exhibit in
its metropolitan-style gallery area. Previous exhibits have included
Animation Art and numerous original movie, television and stage
posters spanning the past 60 years. All visitors will also be able
to browse selected items from those acclaimed showings, as well as
Unshredded Nostalgia’s inventory of over 250,000 rare, unique and
unusual items in the store's recent expansion.
Since 1978,
Unshredded Nostalgia has offered a treasure trove of desirable and
highly collectible array of 17th through 20th century antiques,
collectibles, paper and advertising items -- including over 2,000
historical documents, thousands of photo archives depicting
Hollywood celebrities, musicians of all genres, sports legends and
world leaders. Other items include first edition books, animation
art, classic magazines, legal and illegal casino memorabilia,
antique jewelry, glassware and collector dolls.
Collectors, browsers
and the general public are invited to view this highly entertaining
and informative free exhibit located at Unshredded Nostalgia, 323 S.
Main St. (Route 9) in Barnegat, NJ, on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 10
a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday Feb. 27 a special
public reception with refreshments will take place . The
exhibition will remain on display through May 15, 2005
