Barnegat, NJ—Unshredded Nostalgia, New Jersey’s only metropolitan-style poster gallery showcasing original movie, television and stage posters announces a rare poster exhibit featuring the era of silent movies. The exhibit titled “Gems of the Silent Screen,” opens to the public on March 15, 2008, with an opening night gala reception from 5-7 PM.

Almost 40 one-of-a-kind and rarely seen silent movie posters from 1915-1930 will be on display. Some of the posters include Charlie Chaplin in Fireman, Lillian Gish in Birth of a Nation directed by D.W. Griffith, and William S. Hart in Truthful Tulliver.

“We are delighted that our gallery was chosen to display The “Gems of the Silent Screen” exhibit,” says owner and silent movie buff Jim Episale.” While major museums have displayed silent movie posters, gallery showings are quite unique. We have been fortunate to house a number of diverse poster exhibits. We are pleased to add this exhibit to our repertoire.”
