Barnegat, NJ—Unshredded Nostalgia, one of New Jersey’s
premier antique establishments and its only metropolitan-style poster gallery
with seasonal exhibits, announces a historically significant collection of
artifacts and memorabilia from Ocean County. The exhibit titled “Memories of
Ocean County” opens to the public on April 19, 2008, with an opening night gala
reception from 5-7 PM. The exhibit is free to the general public and will run
thru the summer.
The exhibit, will be housed in the photo gallery room, and
will feature maps, deeds, photographs, postcards, posters, stock certificates,
and much more. All items on display have been collected from residents and
businesses from around the state capturing the unique history and diverse
heritage of the last 100 years from cities such as Long Beach Island, Beach
Haven, Barnegat Light, Barnegat, Surf City, Ship Bottom, Manahawkin, and
Tuckerton.
“This is one of finest collections of Ocean County
memorabilia that I have ever seen,” says owner and life-long Ocean County
resident Jim Episale.” I’ve seen some a few artifacts from the area in state
museums, but never a comprehensive display with this scope.”
